that field hand was too embarrass to fill me in the detail of his little mishap. I would guess his truck skidded off an icy road and into a shallow ditch in winter. I think those factory (GM) tow hooks are casted, not forged, and the temperature was likely around -17 Celsius. I was surprised to hear that too.
