Tacoma Supercharger, how much for dealer option?

    I have one on my 01 TRD and it's killer!...i was going to install it myself but later found out that you only get 1 year warranty verses 3/36 if the dealer does it so i dropped it of in the morning and picked it up at noon time and all for 2500.00 installed.My tacoma is a 5 speed also wich makes it even faster!

    I am going to get the supercharger put on this week. I also have a 2k1 trd. What did it do to your gas mileage? Also, have you put on the transmission cooler, or do you not pull anything? Also, is there anything else I should be aware of?

    Make sure they hook the boost port to the fuel pressure regulator (you might want to mention this to the installer)also my truck is a manual trans so no cooler is needed.The gas mileage should stay about the same unless you drive it hard wich would lower the mileage anyway even without the charger.I run 92 octane and have zero detonation problems. ......have fun! :)

    How do you all like the supercharger? Is it worth the cost? I found the regular engine sluggish when I test drove the double cab. The hard part is you can't test drive the supercharger before deciding to buy the vehicle. Also, how is the stability? Does the vehicle feel like it could easily roll over? Thanks for your help.

    Not sure if you're still checking but:

    1. Those that install the super charger have nothing but praise.

    2. Those that install the super charger have no bottoms to their wallets but if they did that would be the one complaint.

    3. Stability...With the TRD package I haven't been able to break the tires loose from the pavement (and I've tried).

    Thanks for the information. I check occasionally (obviously). I must say I am surprised that I am not getting a lot of feedback. I guess this category is dead. Enjoy your truck!!!
