What is the best alloy wheel cleaner for brake dust?

    Soap and water and a good wheel brush. If the buildup is really bad try a Brillo pad.

    I haven't had much luck with special wheel cleaners.

    AFTER YOU CLEAN THEM PUT A GOOD COAT OF WAX ON THE WHEELS AND THE DUST WILL EASILY WASH OFF AFTER THAT.

    Cleaner will not be needed

    I agree, If you wash car regularly, that's all you need. If you want to put a coat of wax on, even better. I've heard too many people tell me their wheels pitted after cleaning them with an alloy wheel cleaner. Not worth it.

    I use Eagle One A2Z every time I wash my car. It works great but like with all wheel cleaners, you need to be careful.

    Many enthusiasts use P21S which is preferred by a number of European car mfr's. Also I've heard good things about Griot's Garage wheel cleaner but have no personal experience with it.
