I have a Volvo S70 T-5 and have done a considerable amount of winter driving in the northern US. My problem is that road salt has rusted brake components, eg rotars, calipers, and some hose clamps. Anyone have suggestions on preventing the "cancer" from sperading or how I can remove. Also, salt stains have appeared on engine brackets and strut mounts. I've tried everyting to remove, however, stain reappear when roads are wet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Only kidding----I would suggest a once a week car under carriage wash. In addition, I would steam clean the engine bay twice a year. In between steam cleanings, I would use a mixture of Simple Green and water and wipe areas with salt clean.
