Hello all, I've an '81 Cadillac Eldorado and need new calipers, but I do not know if I need loaded, semi-loaded, or unloaded ones. What is the difference and which as OEM?

Thanks in advance!

When you buy new or remanufactured calipers, loaded is the most convenient. They come with the pads, and hardware already installed, and just hang them and bleed, and your done. The disadvantage is you ake their choice in pads. If you want super premium ceramic pads, or carbon metalic, you would get unloaded calipers. Some come with hardware, some without. Ask your supplier what you get. Semi loaded used to be calipers and pads without hardware. That didn't seem like a good idea to me.
