With the above photo and favorable write ups Chevrolet should immediately refund your purchase price and give you the truck for the year. I'm a dyed in the wool Ford guy, but as of 2014 model year this truck may be the best overall package in full size trucks. Ford best be on their game for the 2015 model.
Other things that make a modern pickup a better-than-expected road trip vehicle.
1. Commanding view of the road. Sitting up high and seeing over other vehicles is great. 2. Large mirrors make keeping up with what's around you a breeze. 3. Presence. Not that you intimidate others but they see you coming and are more likely to move over. 4. Suspension. Enough suspension to jump a curb, cross a median, eat a pothole without worrying about breaking anything. 5. Power. It's built to tow and haul. When not doing those things, a pickup has power to spare and shrugs off hills without a sweat.
