    The article should have said how much time it normally takes to go from SF to LA. I looked it up roughly 7 hrs. give take a half hour.

    7 hours by car. This is point to point so its best compared to an airplane which is point to point, airport to airport, then you still have to get from the airport to where you want to go.

    Gate to gate, Southwest Airlines, an hour and 15 minutes SFO-LAX, $138 if you book far enough in advance.

    Oddly enough they don't say anything about ET3 which is already working on this project and has been for some time.
    According to Musk he wasn't going to invest in this idea. so just more PR for him and Tesla
