Don't look like a "fairly conservative makeover" to me. Looks like a bold leap towards ripping off the Audi A7. But at least it doesn't look like an Accord any more!

Watch out Lexus this car looks great! And hey, this is how a company does a big grill.

To me it looks like Hyundai's version of the Infiniti Q50. I thought the most recent Genesis looked like Hyundai's version of the Infiniti's previous M series. At least Hyundai's consistent.

Ford Fusion looks with Hyundai quality. Could be a winner. (But, seriously, WAY to rip off the Fusion, Hyundai.)

Fusion, Altima, Avalon = Genesis. Doesn't "Genesis" mean beginning? or maybe Hyundai changed the definition to copying.

Looks good. Glad to see that AWD will be offered.

Compared to the current Genesis, this is quite a leap. Looks way better, leaner and athletic, with a nice roof profile into the rear decklid. Is it a liftback or does it just have a really short decklid though? If Hyundai wants to continue competing in this arena, this is a good start but they really need to work on refinement and ride quality.

Looks like Fusion, Audi, Infiniti, Accord? Why not throw in Lexus, Maserati... No, it's not a blatent rip off of any of these vehicles (tho I see the most resemblance to the A7 and A5 fastback). The head of design is Peter Schreyer (looks after Hyundai AND Kia now) so if it looks teutonic, there's your reason..

That grill looks like the new Kodo Mazda6, IMO.

Not too conservative, but the greenhouse is the same as the A7, Fusion, Avalon, Impala, Altima, and likely more to come. Whereas before, like the Accord, it was clearly trying to copy BMW.

    Right on target!

let's be fair, folks, only so many greenhouse shapes you can do without resorting to gimmicks that are unique at the expense of looking odd or ugly (see Infiniti). So yes, the basic shape of the window looks like A7, mazda6, fusion, impala, ..., the difference is in the detailing and proportions - that's what makes one look better than the other. From the renderings, the new Genesis looks pretty good to me.

UH-Mazing! I think they nailed it! It is stunning! The current model is very attractive, though a bit generic (forgettable?). But this one, wow!

if looking unique with styling sold cars, then Peugeot and Citroen both would be the world's biggest carmakers.

The new Genesis looks great....would I buy one new? dunno.

Would it be a great used car buy? Absolutely.
