    I never quite understood the idea that paddle shifters that move with the wheel are somehow a problem. Since shifting while turning upsets the balance aren't you just going to shift when you have minimal steering input anyway?

    @stovt001: To me, its not that big of a deal. Having said that, steering wheel mounted paddle shifters never seem quite as ideal as a paddle that stays in the same place no matter what. Hopefully that explanation makes some sense.

    Aren't the shifters mounted to the steering wheel on race cars?
