    This is one of those things that I suspect I would still notice cycle on/off and it would drive me nuts but of course everyone's results would vary. Is there away to turn off the AFM and leave the truck in full V8 mode all the time?

    Hybris - Get an aftermarket tune and AFM can be removed. That being said my G8 GT has it and it doesn't bother me one bit and the car is years older than this truck, so I am sure GM has improved the AFM programming.
