The premium you pay for a diesel vehicle is paid back by low fuel prices in a shorter time than required for hybrid vehicles. This bodes well for the coming diesel invasion from Europe.

    I'm looking to buy a new fuel efficient vehicle because now I drive around 75 miles a day, that would be just under 25,000 miles a year. This article is very helpful for overall understanding of the differences, but it is not clear about the number of miles you would be driving a year. I would love to have an equation that I can apply to my driving conditions.
