    It makes for interesting reading, thanks! It's similar to what I see in parts of Silicon Valley.

    I don't think it's a big surprise. We all have less space at home and on the road than we would in other parts of the country. Gas is more expensive. Off-roading is a hobby, not something you have to do to get to certain places. So fewer trucks are a given. Some of the popular trucks or SUVs elsewhere are pretty expensive though, so people with the same amount of money here might buy or lease a 3-series instead.

    This is an interesting analysis. I'd also like to see it for a variety of places as well. Perhaps it could be a big-middle-small so you could do New York City, Columbus, Ohio, and Billings, Montana.

    Actually the only stereotype I've ever had about LA appears to be 100% accurate - no one buys domestic cars.
