    The 428i costs $1,775 more than the model it replaces and the 435i costs $1,725 more than the model it replaces. Same engines, just "slightly lower" and "slightly longer" than the 2013 models. I guess it must cost way more to put a "4" on the cars' rears than a "3"

    drjohn43, the numbers Edmunds quoted include destination while yours do not, the actual price increase for the 428i convertible is $850. And if the standard equipment increase is similar to the coupes, the price increase is more than justified - keyless ignition, iDrive, 8-speed automatic transmission, BMW Assist telematics with enhanced Bluetooth, automatic dimming interior and exterior mirrors and Homelink are all standard now.
