The Forte is a cheap commuter vehicle. Most commuters ride solo. I look at this as no different than the plethora of cars that have power driver seats and manual passenger seats. If I was in the market for such a car, I'd be thrilled that cooled seats are available for the driver and probably wouldn't care about the passenger side.

Maybe Kia wants passengers to go and buy their own Forte so they can have a cooled seat as a driver/owner.

Why would you really need cooled seats? As long as it is a cloth seat or maybe (big maybe in my experience) a leather seat its not like the seat will burn you after being left in the sun for a few hours. If it was a cheap vinyl seat I can understand why you would want a cooled seat since it can mildly burn skin when heated. Or you can wear long pants all year long and need nothing special at all just a seat.
