    Bought a new Explorer in '02, major components (Transmission, 4wd, wheel bearings) all started failing around 80,000 miles. I put roughly $6000 in repairs excluding scheduled maintenance over the last 3 years. Ford lost a customer for life, just bought a new Honda Pilot.
