2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Long-Term Road Test
The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe's onboard computer tracks miles driven, average speed and elapsed time. But sometimes you don't want to know just how much time you've spent sitting in traffic.

I typically fill up my 2011 Sonata every 400 miles and reset the readings, and the average speed indicated on the computer is consistently 29mph. It is kind of depressing, but seems to be the norm these days.
I live in the 'burbs, and the speed limit in my township was recently lowered from 45mph to 35mph on the main road, and from 35mph to 30mph on the feeder road out to the main road. Every morning I travel a highway with a 55mph limit, but traffic volume keeps us down to 45-50mph. It can sometimes take me 70 minutes to travel 28 miles to work...this is all in the 'burbs.
