For the longest time many of us have commented on various "Will the Bike Fit" entries that you should just get a rood rack. Well here is another time when I will say, get a roof rack, and also a Thule rooftop cargo box. They are very aero, so shouldn't have much impact on fuel economy, and they will allow you to bring the amazing amount of stuff that comes with 2 small children while still utilizing a relatively small car like the Focus. Really any IL staff member with a bike and/or kids should have a removable roof rack in their garage.

As soon as I saw that photo of the exploding luggage area, I knew who posted, without even looking.

Looks like that family are all sufferers of "space cancer", the ability to fill any open space, regardless of size, with lots of their crap.

Don't know if that Aura belongs to the Romans family, but I have to say that it's still eye-catching. GM hasn't made a sedan that good looking ever since (at least not for under $30k).

23.8 cubic feet of room isn't just more than any compact sedan. I don't think there's been a sedan sold in the last ten or twenty years with that much room. A Towncar has 21 ft3, and that's the only sedan I can think of that would be more than 20! Of course, the dimensions are much different, and a 20 ft3 trunk doesn't impede your visibility when you fill it.
