I have to admit, but I and some Oregon fuel attendants have made this error. Appreciate VW for helping out, easy mistake to make at 2am on the road.

My Golf TDI was impacted by this recall. A week ago I had my car in for the recall service among others. Today I returned to the dealership to have them remove the device. The problem I was having is that the installed device caused the diesel fuel pump to turn off almost immediately. I would never have enough patience to fill up my tank at one ounce at a time. Actually, the recall "solution" was infuriating. The dealership informed me that my experience was not uncommon, but they also drain a number of mis-fueled cars.
