    Also - it's important to know that even if you go to traffic court and lose, you still are allowed a 'trial de novo' - you just have to request it within 20 days. A trial de novo is a brand new trial.

    If you go to the trial de novo and the officer shows up, then just tell the judge you would like to change your plea to 'no contest' and very nicely ask for traffic school. That's what I did.

    A person really has zero to lose and much to gain by going to traffic court!
