I have wrapped up a Lemon Law proceedure and have come to an agreement with the manufacturer. I am not permitted to disclose the terms of the agreement but I would like to pass on a word to the wise. When the manufacturer wants to do a "legal inspection" of your car, their motivation is not at all to find out what is wrong and fix it. Their purpose for the inspection is to use it to defend themselves against the lemon law process. Under no circumstances should you ever hand the keys to their rep WITHOUT YOU BEING PRESENT (ride along) and even video tape this test drive. Although they may tell you that you cannot go along for "liability reasons" that is NOT SO. I spoke to my insurance agent and he informed me that anyone who has my permission to drive my car is covered under my policy. If you are not there to dispute what he does or doesn't do on this test ride, he can say ANYTHING HE WANTS.
