This accident happened in West Palm Beach, Florida. I was at stopped at a red light behind two other cars. A truck collided with my car rear at approximately 45 M/H pushing front to the other two cars. The rear of my car was totally destroyed. I was in the JFK Hospital for tree days due to back, neck pain and right knee swollen. After that I was in bed at home for two additional weeks.
I hired an injury lawyer when I was in the hospital, and three days later I called him and he told me that the driver at fault had only basic insurance with $10.000. Lawyer explained to me, that there was not enough money for payment of medical bills, damages in my car and the other two cars and no money for a rental car for me. I have also only the basic insurance requested by law. The driver at fault, which hit my car at rear, reported to the police that he was looking at his computer at the moment of the collision, and got a violation and citation for careless Driving (as per the traffic crash report).
I have been without a car going to work by bus and expecting the bills from the hospital.
Now it has been four weeks, I call and email the lawyer that I hired, but he never answer.
What I can do? Thanks in advance for your ideas.
