Probably need to get about 8 or 10k on the clock before the motor settles in. Anything near the mid-20's on the highway would be a nice accomplishment. Especially, considering the benefits of the diesel torque curve.

I'll be curious to watch what fuel economy you get on a tank of long haul highway driving. Also curious to see how much the coil spring rear suspension pays off in comfort on a long highway run.

interesting.... with my 2006 4x4 cummins diesel, 2500 with 33 inch tires, airbags, much heavier than a 1500 and I can only get 24.7 MPG over a 2000 trip... and 800 miles per tank.. is this really progress???
