The earlier spy shots were disappointing, but this looks promising. Other reports indicate the 2015 MY will be available as a sedan only, though. If accurate, that is a big mistake on Subaru's part.

Has everyone decided to go with trapezoidal grilles? Despite that, I like what little I see, especially that color red. Should be interesting to see how they tune the chassis now that the car is differentiated from the Impreza.

Chassis tuning sounds promising. I'd rather see money invested in the WRX's underpinnings and interior than making the exterior look more aggressive. A buddy of mine bought a WRX when they were first coming out back in 2002, and part of the fun was having a stoplight sleeper. A few subtle exterior cues like the hood scoop told those "in the know" what they were looking at. The rest of the yahoos in their Mustangs and Camaros didn't know what was coming 'til the can of whupass was firmly served.

Disappointing that they aren't willing to work the chassis refinement into the regular Imprezas anymore. Definitely reeks of cost cutting.

It will be interesting to see if the price of the WRX will increase significantly since it will no longer be based on the relatively affordable Impreza. The WRX has always been a performance bargain, at least so far.....

It looks like a Mitsubishi Evo wannabe. I guess I can't blame them, the WRX loses to the Evo all the time in comparison tests, on the track, and at the drag strip.

wrx needs moar power to stand out. too much competition. thats only 18 more than the focus st and has less drivetrain loss. in need like 290 or so to spank a focus and justify the price. new 4 bangers are cating up and a new musthang for 25k will eat a 270 hp wrx ecven with just having rwd. it needs this

290 hp 13.2 at 108 moh or more to stay ahd of say a golf r or a bmw 228i becase those cars will be fast.

    better brakes
    better interior
18 28 mpg other are higher but wrx is awd.

The sti needs 350 hp and hit mid 12's to run with amg 45 and
dial that suspension in to run with modrn super cars.

competion has ramped up and even a gti with pp pack nice interior etc will trap around 101 102 mph at 14.0

A golf 4 will proabbaly be mid 13's

Subaru will not compete on intiror and all that but the awd is better and the suspesnion can be better than vw. it has to be enough of a perfomance gap to get it over vw.

If the next sti is not fast or modable like my evo x i guess I will get a next gen s4 if it is stick if they skip a manual like a s3 then forget it gonna get a vette. I rally dont want to spend that kind of mony but I refuse to get a awd auto a cvt for 35k.

So, it got an increase of 5hp, and went to a 2.0 engine? I can't wait to see it, only about 1 more hour before it debuts.
