I had a 2010 CTS wagon with halogen projector bulbs, which I traded for a 3 row 2009 SRX when our family expanded. The SRX has xenon, but they both had equally sharp cutoff and wide light pattern (the only difference being the color of the light).

My 09 Mustang, with reflector type xenons (factory - not aftermarket), does not have a very clear/sharp pattern. So I think the projector lenses are the key to a good headlight pattern, not the light source.

Why are xenon headlights optional on any Cadillac? They should be standard equipment across the lineup. Make the adaptive feature optional.

@allthingshonda - like xenons are optional on BMWs, MBs, Lexi ....? I think Acura is the only "luxury" maker with xenons standard - I'm not sure about the ILX though.

Something about that photo--nice composition, with the dash lights and the polished rimes and the dark/light contrast.

Yay and kudos for taking a beam output pic against a wall. This should be done with all cars in your fleet!

+1 hank39. I really want to see how their MDX's highly advertised jewel eye LED headlights perform.
