    Sounds like something isn't adjusted quite right. My guess is that shouldn't be hard to diagnose and fix.

    I just ran into the same problem with my 2014 Touring model. Really frustrating. Has anyone had any resolution from Mazda regarding this?

    Had this same issue on my 2014 Mazda CX5 Touring. Seems as though the release latch in the seat back itself is the culprit. Pressing really hard on the rear release lever (in the cargo well) released it. So the issue is still happening & my thanks for taking the time to post this.
