No disrespect intended but this is a terribly written article. First, the writer compares the base price of the Boxster/Cayman to the GTS. When in fact, you should be comparing a Boxster S/Cayman S. Second, the writer states "Car shoppers should expect to pay a hefty premium if they want their Boxster or Cayman to sport the iconic GTS badge". That's probably not true since usually the GTS "package" includes a lot of stuff which in total, would cost more than the sum of the individual options. That is the case with the current Cayenne GTS, the Panamera GTS and the old, 997 model 911 GTS. Also, that same line of thinking suggests that a Porsche Turbo S buyer is paying a huge premium over a base Carrera. Nonsense.
I'm not saying that Porsches are affordable or bargains in any way stretch or form but at least don't be lazy and compare apples to apples.
