The Cadillac line is nice but lacks in style, they all look alike and don't have that $100K look to them.
Playing it safe is a wise choice for Caddy they need to move safely along with their development.
I would love to see a RWD top of the line Caddy though that would be a winner in my book.

Whatever cachet Cadillac has been able to retain (which isn't much) isn't among the demographic groups that manufacturers need to justify a $100,000 flagship. A brand preferred by rappers, ghetto scum, and ignorant and/or near-death pro-Detroiters isn't exactly coveted by more discriminating individuals.

Ok if the xts is the flagship for Cadillac now why does it ride like crap. I lease a 2013 xts this past September and it has been to dealer numerous times for wheel alignments because the continues to pull to the rite when you center the steering wheel. The suspension is horrible. It is very harsh when going over bumps. The rear struts were replaced at only 8900 gentle miles on her and there is so much tire noise. I cannot believe this the flagship car for Cadillac

Everything else I reach about this stated there will still be a proper RWD S-Class and 7 Series competitor, and the canceled flagship would have been above that, like a Maybach to the S-Class. This is the only place I've seen it interpreted that the XTS will remain at the top. Cadillac has been pretty forward about that being a stop-gap.

Ya can't hang a flagship model on a number. Ya can't aim a flagship at a direct competitor like S-Class or 7 Series. Consider the ultimate expression of the brand and build it without compromise. XLR had that vision. 70s Eldorado. The upcoming ELR is a real vision car. Do more of that.

Nobody in their right mind would spend 100k plus on a Cadillac when their are so many other European sport car options in that price range. Now I would spend 70k-80k on a Cadillac luxury sedan that was completely electric like the new TESLA. Now that would put GM back on the map and could be the FLAGSHIP LUXURY SEDAN.
