    Dear other tuners: suspension compliance isn't just about ride comfort, but also maintaining the tire's contact patch with the road. Signed, a guy who has seen way too many "tuned" cars nearly catch air over every minute bump in the pavement.

    Car Magazine/Website Cliche #26: with any tuner car they test, they always have to have this statement about how ALL the tuner cars...except THIS one...exhibit these thrown-together characteristics. I have looked in vain for years for just ONE of those other tuner car tests where they say yeah - THIS car we're testing NOW, TODAY, is one of the thrown-together ones. Always good for a laugh.

    stovt001, that's why I always get mad when Captain Slow claims Nurburgring testing ruins cars. Running fast on the Nurburgring requires a firm but compliant suspension. So it absorbs the big bumps but keeps the body motions damped. Exactly what the idea suspension is SUPPOSED to do.
