They do look nice, and I wholeheartedly embrace the idea of using LED's for there longevity, efficiency, and ability to make cool designs. However, I would appreciate it if I didn't go blind every time the car in front of me touches the brakes at night.

I disagree that the Forte's (or any Kia's) LED taillights are particularly distinctive. They look very similar to those on the Ford Fusion and any number of Audis. They are very well done, I agree, but not instantly recognizable.

Wow, they look nice. I guess my only question is, what's the cost to replace them when they burn out? Bet its not cheap...

LED tailights absolutely suck for anyone sitting behind them at a stoplight. I hate them. I hate them enough that I want to hop out with a tire iron and "turn them off" before the light turns green. And while the design does look nice for a compact car, but mercedesfan is right: they weren't the first or only to come up with the basic pattern.

I don't really find the glare from LED taillights to really bug me. In parts of the country with actual weather, they are actually a boon as they are incredibly easy to see through dense rain, snow, and fog.

At least, when drivers remember to turn their lights on.
