The Dart's ergos in general can be improved especially with the manual trans. Seats, tilt/telescope, pedal placement and travel... I found it pretty comfy for long trips and for jaunts through some of tennesee's twistier roads. But... do people still shuffle steer in this day and age of power steering? I use hand over hand most of the time in day to day traffic, though steering is typically fast enough in my cars that I rarely move my hands away from the 10 and 2 o'clock position.

When I read these entries I always ask myself if the driver has ever been taught to sit in a car properly. By that I mean that the driving position is dictated by the need to control the car. Your comfort comes after that requirement is met. Mark's comment on always wanting his hands low on the wheel suggests he was never broken of the habit during drivers' ed. To be fair, there are cars where the seat and wheel adjustments make it impossible to achieve a safe driving position that is remotely comfortable. For me that includes the Lexus IS300 and most 1980's Alfa Romeos and is caused by me having very long legs but slightly short arms.
