    You used two identical photos. Looks like someone with lots of hardware or those key-hanger thingies works there.

    Maybe the bolster is rubbing against that hard-appearing piece of plastic (side torso airbag cover?). I'm not sure why Porsche would cheap-out a bit on this aspect of the seat. I can see it on a car like the Ford Fusion (maybe it helps insurance rates - easy airbag replacement?), but I would think in a $100K+ car this is not an issue.
