    Just leased a 2914 Subaru Crosstrek. For some reason I did not notice the new car smell during the test drive but now that I'm locked-in for three years, oh, the horror! The 'new car smell' is almost enough to make me vomit. Don't take this comment lightly: over the years I've owned or leased Volvo, Chevy, Ford, VW, Audi, Toyota, Honda, in total 15 cars. NOTHING HAS COMPARED TO THIS SMELL. Sniffing closer to the surfaces and the smell intensifies around the dash, ie, the black plastic in the car. Any thoughts on eliminating the smell in this car, short of eliminating the car altogether and not masking with another smell, would be greatly appreciated.
