    yes, put a diesel in to make it heavier and have less horsepower. bravo Buick.

    The Encore just doesn't work for me. It's cartoony small, and yes the utter lack of power is a problem. Before the "all of you power hungry fools are just dangers to society" people start ranting against a cry for more power - I'm not saying it should be a rocket. 138 hp in my opinion is dangerously underpowered. It wouldn't be enough for a Miata either, nevermind a CUV (albeit a tiny one) I'm only talking about having enough grunt to merge onto a 60 mph highway without fear of getting crushed by an 18 wheeler, or execute a pass confidently at highway speeds. I'd rather they had something CR-V sized, which I guess is another model under development.
