Hmm, maybe caused by a heat cycle? Understandable that normal windshield cracks wouldn't be covered, but a judgement call should definitely rule this an exceptional defect.
The last time I saw a windshield that was cracked from the inside it was on a buddy's car. I understand that the event involved a young lady and stiletto heels but after that details were not forthcoming.
@duck87 Sitting in ANY seat of the cars that guy had was a high risk proposition, even when girls were not involved. His driving made it easy to memorise bus and train schedules.
Happened with my '95 Neon too, only after warranty back then. It's a Chrysler quality issue, nothing to do with Daimler or the Italians.... but nice deflection...
