I heard 5.3 liter V8, fixed roof, cloth seats, no nav, simple body panels, less color choices ,under 50k. Anyone else hear same/similar? Would even love to see the 3.6 V6 as I cannot even remember the last time I raced a Ferrari.......No, it wouldnt do 0-60 in 3.8 seconds ...but even 5.8seconds is damn quick enough. .
It'd be foolish for Chevy to release a V6 version that goes 0-60 in 5.8. That's slower than the Camaro and only about as fast as the 328, which is a family sedan for crying out loud. It's already a raging bargain for what it offers.
But the very heavy, slow-by-comparison Audi S5? Really?
You both are very correct. The C7 is a 2 seat roadster/coupe. I think it is a joke to compare a large Audi with a backseat or even the Porsche. I mean I understand the Porsche to an extent, light small coupe with a fake backs

5.8 seconds to 60 would not be quick enough for any Corvette. I'd be embarrased to drive any variation of Corvette, and get beat by v6 Toyota Camrys and other similar midsize cars. hell I've gotten my Sonata SE Turbo under that by a few tenths!
but i've heard the rumor of a "regular" Corvette, with the 5.3 v8. even with "only" 360hp or so, it should still get close to 5 seconds flat or better as I'd imagine it should weigh even less than the Stingray version, which is pretty light itself.
