I am just not a fan of either of these MB's. I am a fan of MB's stuff (have owned one for the last 7 years) but these two just don't do much for me. I am a much bigger fan of the previous gen of SL before they made the rearend so strange and ungainly looking with the extra "fat" on the current ones. I'd rather try something else for $200 large.

My 2011 SL550 is fine for what it is. That said, I don't really want it to be what it is, so: mounting new complete high performance exhaust system plus cold air intake and will then some electronic retuning. That should add enough grunt to get me out of the Old Man's Boulevard Cruiser category. Being a straight line speed guy, the suspension is good enough for me. If I wanted to drive the twisties, the Star would be replaced with a Horse or a Bull!

Just drove an AMG GTS and I highly suggest you fellas experience this before making judgement. I've driven over the years SLC5.0, 560SL, 560SEC, 500E, C43, C63, CL65, SL65 and many Porsches. The AMG GTS is a true masterpiece of MB technology. I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight. It's like if MB set out to make a Camaro...on steroids. Still trembling!
