    That's poor material design, and I can see how this will be happening to a lot other drivers...

    With a few years’ removing & re-installing of the weather carpets (mats) & all-weather trays, I have a similar problem, only I am finding some of the pins are tearing away from the body carpeting as well. Without securely containing the mats I am concerned with this becoming a safety issue. Also, with one of the retaining grommets having been lost, my dealer tells me it is not available separately, only available by replacing the carpet @ $176.00 cdn. Is this accurate?
