    Never mind the Coyote? Considering you're comparing the engine in a $32k-$45k car to that in a car that's SIX times more expensive, I would say that's high praise for the Ford.

    The AMG engine is making just over 90 hp per liter and the Ford engine (in the Boss 302) is making 88. Pretty damn good from a power standpoint, and it's built to make that kind of power all day long.

    @mercedesfan - i wouldn't try to disagree with anything you said.
    but i'd still rather have the 458 engine (whatever it's internal label is).
    just a personal preference.

    I want to drive one. Kind of off topic, but speaking of the coyote, why cant ford put that thing in a 4 door car? The SHOs ttv6 isnt bad but doesnt have the appeal of that 5.0.

    @zcalvert,

    I completely understand. Exhaust note is absolutely crucial in determining one's favorite engine. Personally, I've always preferred the baritone of a large displacement engine to the wail of a small-displacement engine (part of the reason I've

    In the mainstream, america is more about cheap V8s than sophisticated V8s, though...
