I live in Madison, WI. Last night during evening rush hour we had a quick moving store move through dropping 3 inches of snow in 3 hours. I was out running and saw a guy drive buy in a boxter...sure hope they were rocking winter tires.

I was about to say maybe it was a 4s when I realized you said boxster not 911. I've seen a few 911 4s driving around on snow covered roads in NJ. I remember coming up behind the one guy going he's crazy having that out in the snow and then I saw the badging and changed my thoughts to 'good for him' a true DD sports car just like mine.

Even with AWD you'll still need good winter tires. AWD doesn't help you stop any better.

@fordson1: I'm probably just a manual fanboy but as inconvenient as a clutch can be in some situations, I have always regretted not having a manual in the two automatic equipped cars that I have owned. I'll probably change my tune as I get older, but righ

quadricycle, I have 2 cars, both WITH manuals, BECAUSE I don't have to put up with LA's traffic. And yeah, my nicer, newer car is tucked away for the winter.
