The Fiatsler 1.4 and 1.4T is a dud in every application.
2) There is a recent software update for the DDCT that is available that some owners are saying dramatically changes the transmission and reduces lag- but if they keep insisting on using 87 octane gas who knows how much of an impact this will have.
3) The 2.4 should solve most of not all the issues- it can run optimally on 87 octane gas, has more power and should get better gas mileage then what Edmunds is getting using 87 with the 1.4.
4) For 2014 the 2.4 will be standard on the SXT, Limited and of course the GT. Some have reported that on the 2014 documentation they have seen the mpg will be 35 hwy for the 2.4 and 6 speed auto for the SXT and Limited
5) I will just post what is coming and get it over with for unionbuster to save him time today- get rid of the turd! lmao
@dby2012: The GT is rated by Dodge at 23/33 mpg.
Merging problem solved.
The Hyundai Sonata 2.4 puts out more power and actually gets 35 mp

The 2.4 will be standard on more models in 2014. Reports from some peopl who have seen early press materials for the 2014 Dart at their dealerships where they work report that it states the 2.4 in the Limited and SXT will get 1 mpg over the 2.0 hwy rating, which would put it at 35/36. No one knows for sure as the official 2014 EPA numbers have not been reported.
