for the guy who opened this topic who said the SRT will beat any mustang, or any camaro/firebird or truck, is completely wrong. I agree with someone who said they would pay an extra $5K for a Z06 vette which is in the low 4 sec range 0-60, and I have the book right here, for $14,500 anyone can add a Lingenfelter kit to a chevy truck giving it 475 hp and 0-60 is 4.7 sec. That total package can be had for around $35K Also you can add a Lingenfelter kit to a firebird/camaro for less than the SRT and faster than the SRT. The 03 Mustang Cobra is gonna have 390 hp and 390 lbs torque and it will be in the mid to low 4 sec range 0-60 and that car is only $35K. I think buying the SRT is wasting your money. It would be cool to have but I would buy plenty other vehicles before it.

The bone stock SRT-10 with 500HP should do it. IMHO it was designed to spank other TRUCKS, not stangs, cobras, vettes, lingenfelter equipped cars... This is for the TRUCK lover. If you want the fastest truck in the world (top speed), get an old '92 SYCLONE, disable the
limiter, increase PSI on turbo and you can do 202 MPH at Bonneville. Re: cars, let see, i would get an old '72 Ferrari Daytona Spyder with the V12, 6 webers, chain driven overhead cams, wire wheels, (OOPS SORRY, OFF TOPIC! returning to Dodge Ram SRT-10 topic immediately).

If you buy a Dodge SRT-10 and desire to soup it up, Mr Lingenfelter should be happy to fulfill all your desires.

Regards to all Truck, Car and SUV lovers all over the world,

I own an '02 ram quad cab with 20" wheels. With all of the "top heavy" weight as someone called it, that I have, should I not be able to take a curve at a high speed? I think not! Just because a vehicle sits high, and the srt-10 doesn't sit that high, doesn't mean it will not corner well. It's all in the suspension and the beefy tires. A good stiff suspension and four wide tires make all the difference. The srt-10 with 23 inchers (and wide I'll bet)should be able to handle about any curve you drive it into. Maybe not quite as well as a corvette, but I wouldn't trade the view from a truck to look up someones a - - and ride with my a - - 6 inches from the ground.

By the way, have you ever seen what a corvette looks like after a crash. Don't think you'll be walkin' away from that one. Look at the crash testing that's been done on the new ram. Rated better than most vehicles (car or truck).
    GO DODGE!

By the way, check out the April issue of Car and Driver. I will quote for you the comments made in the article. "At 5460 pounds, this is a heavy truck. You wouldn't know it on the skidpad, though, where it circled at 0.81 g. The chassis bites into the turns like a, well, would you believe a nearly three-ton sports car? The Ram is the only pickup here with the suspension poise to circle repeatedly; the others melt the outside front tire into submission within a fraction of a lap." And this is on a quad cab 4 wheel drive. Not a standard cab 2 wheel drive such as the SRT-10. I would say that the SRT-10 will have no issues with curves.
