    I just picked up a 2012 SportWagon which didn't have the front license plate installed either. I was convinced the plate went solely over the grill and not the bumper and could not figure why the bolts didn't line up properly until I saw your article. Thanks! A great Homer Simpson "Doh!" moment on my part.
