Seemingly not a year passes that the IIHS doesn't develop another new test of crashworthiness. I for one am tired of reading about which cars flunked this or passed that. A vehicle's safety rating is way down on the list of things which I consider when car shopping.

Hmm... on one hand we will probably survive a "small overlap test" and on the other hand we have to put up with the CVT. I have driven the 2014 Forester with the CVT and I must say it is not very good. On the third hand, the Accord CVT is marvelous. I predict that the CR-V will get the higher powered Accord engine and CVT next year. It would be nice to have the CR-V get some needed torque.
