Are there any disadvantages of doing an early 1st oil change, sooner than the manufacturer recommendation to "catch all the metal from engine break-in" (apart from the extra expense)?

I've had the bracket and the actual screen itself replaced already and STILL have noises. I noticed the noises occur when the back of the screen reaches a certain temperature. I've had no luck getting it fixed and I think others are going to notice the same issue as summer approaches.
