    This is definitely my favorite CUV out of all of the ones IL has had in its fleet.

    Yes yes! My '14 Mazda 3 with the same powertrain is the same. I love the kickdown detent, they programmed it very similar to BMW where not hitting the kickdown will give you a non-dramatic downshift and forward momentum, then if thats not enough hit the kickdown for all she has. :)
