Wouldn't it be $24.3K *before* the $1000 rebate? Otherwise that doesn't seem very good with a list price of $25.7K--I'm not a great negotiator but I'd lose all self-respect if I could only get $400 off besides the rebate. I don't know whether it's polite to mention competitors, but the TRUE***-provided pricing of an unnamed consumer magazine sez under $23K including rebate near Santa Monica.
seems like a decent car, but honestly at that price, I'd rather have a Honda Accord Sport. I paid less than that for mine and I think it's a better car.
I almost bought a new 2013 Optima LX manual for 17,500cdn$, all in but taxes (Optima, not Forte). We still had manuals for 2013, but they're gone for 2014.
Kia has a huge pad in their msrp numbers. They ran out of manual Optimas before I could sign. Darn.
