I recently purchased a new Toyota Highlander. Since this vehicle is still selling well, Toyota had no real incentives through either finance or leasing, I was prepared to pay cash for the vehicle when I checked out loan rates. Using a local credit union and opting for auto pay, I was able to get same day approval of 1.5% for 48 months for $20,000.
Many credit unions, including the one I selected are set up where the money is exchanged for the title electronically - there was very little for me to do after applying for the loan. I have an excellent credit rating and really enjoy telling a lender sorry when they don't have what it takes to earn my business.
