It totally did not deserve the award, especially as it's used the 3-series as a benchmark and is very similar in concept. The CUE system, odd instrument panel and somewhat subpar powertrains don't do it any favour either.
I would have voted for either the Ford Fusion or Honda Accord, since both those cars have substantially upped the quality of the midsize sedan market.
lets hope it has more success than the 2007 winner... the Saturn Aura
The ATS looks great, I just wish it hadn't copied one thing from BMW, the huge list of option packages that send the price through the roof. Want a backup camera? That means the $5,000 package.
Well deserved award. I also agree this new format is very poor. Why couldn`t Insideline stay? Because we now click on "Whats hot" instead of Insideline - I don`t see the benefit to Edmunds or the consumer.
The elimination of InsideLine was voted the Dumbest Automotive IT Development of 2013 by a jury of automotive enthusiasts. It beat out Ford Sync, Apple Maps and the Cadillac CUE system. What would you have voted for?

Still not a fan of this new format.
Screw you Edmunds.
You just lost me for good.
"Is this where I ask why Edmunds dumped InsideLine? What a stupid, stupid idea."
+to infinity and beyond
