So basically, you just gloss over JUST how much the big 3 contribute to the nation's economy ON THE WHOLE. All this article does is try to make it seem like dumping a 2 liter soda container of water on a forest fire is effective as opposed to when a full water tank attached to a helicopter. We know which is MUCH more effective.

All the ancillary items you mention about the foreign makes impact on our economy are true, but for all of those number you throw out for Toyota and Honda, they still don't speak to just how much STRONGER the economy would be if the big 3 have larger market share! I guess Edmunds is just continuing the all out assault on all things "american-made" ( for reference...see every amrican car review EVER)!

Foreign makes are good to keep out guys heads in the game (competition), but stop trying to make it seem 'apples-2-apples'....IT'S NOT!!!
