    Even with Speed Channel switching over to general sports coverage, motorsports enjoys very thorough television coverage. Where in the past you just had to travel to some events to fully enjoy them, extended television programing on high definition big screen tvs provides a legitimate alternative. Allowing for fewer in-person spectators and attracting them by giving them a better experience sounds like a smart move to me. If I'm going to forgo the extensive tv coverage and actually go out and pay to watch a race, it will need to be better than just a cramped metal seat to watch a race from just one corner.
